How to Dress Up a Bottle of Wine for an Easy Hostess Gift
Wine is a no fail hostess gift but sometimes it feels a little bare. Today I am showing a few easy ways to “dress up” a bottle of wine for all the holiday parties you are attending.
It is always gracious to thank the hosts of a party with a gift. We have lots of ideas in our Hostess Gift Guide but, when in doubt, bring wine!
Add a cute Christmas tag!
Adding a wine tags and pretty ribbon to a bottle of wine is an easy way to add a personal touch. A set of custom tags would also be a lovely gift for the hosts or just for friends this year. Trust me – they will use them!
Can this get any easier?? And it’s really two gifts in one! I often check Anthropologie’s home section for kitchen towels on sale and stock up for things just like this. (Tip: tea towels are also cute to wrap homemade breads!). I used this guide to wrap this bottle of wine and added some pretty ribbon and faux holly berries for a nice finishing touch!
Tying your wine bottle to a nice cheese board is the perfect pairing for a nice holiday hostess gift. You can find cheese boards at all price points to make this method of wine gifting as affordable as you would like. I got this one on Amazon. I have even seen some at Trader Joe’s. Add luxurious ribbon around to hold it together and make a beautiful presentation. If you are looking for something extra to add, try adding these adorable cheese markers or a nice set of cheese knives.
I picked up this round wine box from Sugar Paper’s holiday collection at Target and it is the perfect, stress-free way to assemble the perfect hostess gift. These may sell out quickly so I linked a few of my other favorite wine boxes and wine bags below.
I saw this amazing wine tote on one of my favorite gifting website, Barrington Gifts and knew it would be the perfect hostess gift. It would be especially perfect for the couple that likes to take their own wine when they go to dinner parties. It can be completely personalized with your choice of pattern, color and font style. It fits two bottle of wine and it has a wine opener – so cute! This would also be a great business gift, too. Oh and cute for brunch with orange juice and champagne. (Or Vodka and Sister Sauce bloody mary mix!).
